What
is a hire period?
A hire period
is the period of time arranged for your hire when your book
your hire pieces. As a general rule the pieces are delivered
the nearest working day before the event and picked up the
first working day after the event. Cake stands can however
be delivered up to five working days before the event to allow
time for decorating.
What information do Little Ironies need to
know to provide a hire quotation?
Tell
us your name and address, the date of your event, its location,
the number of items and the codes of the designs (from the
website) you require (eg F1, CK1). This can be done by calling
Joanne during office hours on 0794 011 9007 or emailing us
at hire@littleironies.co.uk
How far in advance do I have to book my hire
items?
Little Ironies hire ranges
are made in limited numbers, therefore to guarantee availability
pieces should be booked as early as possible. However if time
is short, provided the pieces are available, there is time
to deliver them and you can provide payment before your event
we can probably arrange a hire for you.
How long do I have
before I have to commit to a hire?
As soon as we receive your hire request we will hold your
pieces for you for three weeks and send you more information
and forms which you must complete to officially place the
order. During the three week period we will contact you if
anyone else requires the same dates as you so you can have
first refusal.
You must return the order forms with the booking fee within
three weeks to secure your booking
What
if my requirements exceed the quantities shown on the website?
Contact
us, because under
certain circumstances
we have been known to make extras and
we may do the same for you
Can I hire some figurines
and some butterflies?
Yes, many of our sculptural pieces are designed to be mixed
and matched
Does hire include flowers?
No, Little Ironies only specialize in bespoke metalwork. Flowers
should be arranged through a local florist, your venue or
perhaps a family member could help. However, what about candles
to compliment your table centrepieces? These can be purchased
from Little Ironies on-line shop
What if I want something unique for my event?
Unique table centrepieces can be commissioned as a general
rule this will take three months. Prices will be based on
the scope of work.

When is my full payment due?
Three
weeks before your event we will contact you to arrange convenient
delivery and collection times for your hire items. Full payment
and a deposit cheque for £100 is also due at this time
and must be paid before the date of your event
My florist / baker is asking for accurate dimensions
of my hire items, what should I do?
We
can supply you with pictures and diagrams or we can contact
your suppliers directly on your behalf to discuss arrangements
Which
vases will fit my hire pieces?
All glassware
purchased from our Little Ironies on-line shop has been chosen
to compliment our hire ranges. As a general rule though, square
vases should have a base size no bigger than 100mm x 100mm
and round vases should have a base diameter less than 130mm
What
size candles will fit my candelabras?
About
21mm diameter, suitable candles are available from Little
Ironies on-line shop
Can I buy hire pieces?
Yes, you
can commission us to make any of our hire items especially
as a memento of your day. Pieces can be personalized with
names, dates or corporate logos. For more information on discounts

Please note
The items you hire will be delivered and collected
from your venue according to your instructions. Once the items
have been delivered they become your responsibility and remain
so until they are collected or returned to Little Ironies.
Your deposit cheque for £100 will be refunded provided
there is no damage to the items your have hired. All damage
