"Life's
Little Ironies..."
With
a wealth of experience in contemporary
art and
design pratice, Joanne Calcutt graduated in Interior Architecture
in 1999. An intrigue in materials and techniques commonly
associated with industrial engineering led her to complete
professional welding and fabrication qualifications and specialise
in metal work design. After completing a Postgraduate Diploma
in Entrepreneurship and significant interest in Joanne's exhibited
work, Little Ironies was born.
Since then the Little Ironies' portfolio has expanded to offer
a diverse range of commissioned and limited edition pieces
for both corporate and private clients. Joanne's
inspirations come from many sources but she has a keen interest
in projects which present the opportunity and challenge to
form a continuity with an existing language, whether that
be a corporate image, existing architecture, pallet of materials,
landscape or cultural tradition.
As
well as creating her own pieces, Joanne has extensive experience
of commissioning artists and managing public art projects
for major regeneration projects within local authority frameworks.
